We do not plane these planks as this removes the wonderful tactile texture of the surface of the timber we hand sand them to retain the true beauty of the grain, knots and blemishes that give these wonderful looking units their rustic charm and appeal. All the timber is given two coats of finishing wax in either Rustic Pine or Tudor Oak to give a smooth finish that enhances the of the beauty of these eye catching conversation pieces. This wax finish is designed for items that are used indoors, if you wish to locate your log store outside please send a message with your order and we can arrange for a different protective finish to be applied to your item. As our items are handmade to order, there may be very slight variations to the photographs the wood may be a slightly different colour, and grains and markings, locations of knots and marks will be different.
